Go Green and Gain Customer Respect
Using resources wisely and responsibly is a source of pride for many companies today. When you choose environmentally friendly advertising strategies, such as distributing promotional advertising materials like reusable bags, items made from recycled products, biodegradable goods, or products made from sustainable resources, you will gain a tremendous amount of respect from your customers when you “go green.”
You can offer the exact same products, services, and prices as another company, but embracing environmentally responsible practices and principles will get your company noticed and get you more business. Many consumers have begun to shy away from doing business with companies that do not seem to appreciate our environmental concerns.
So many great choices are on the market today. For example, reusable shopping bags can help avoid some of the problems associated with the millions of bags (and don’t be fooled into thinking that paper is a great choice, either) that are filling up our landfills. Products made from sustainable resources, such as bamboo, have less of a negative impact on our global ecosystem. Items that have rechargeable batteries are a good choice, too, as well as items that use less energy (think LEDs instead of regular light bulbs). Need to have a tote bag made? Choose recycled cotton instead of polyester if you want to practice better conservation.
You will find that you gain respect from customers when you show them that you are making an effort toward preserving and conserving our world’s natural resources. When you are choosing to show off your company with promotional advertising items, such as tote bags, magnets, business cards, or other logo imprinted items, make the responsible choice of items that are made in ways that do not deplete our world’s natural resources. You will find a multitude of items made from recycled, biodegradable, or sustainable materials to meet your needs—and end up impressing your customers at the same time.
Traditional advertising strategies, such as flyers, regular business cards, or pamphlets often just get thrown out in the trash anyway. Not only will your company be quickly forgotten, but everyone knows that one of the last things we need in this world is more garbage. Instead, find a promotional item that will have some longevity with your customers, and preferably an item that is functional and useful. If you give your customers something they can use for a long time, they will be far more likely to remember your company when they need your product or service!
It’s not difficult to have a positive impact on the environment. A few responsible choices can go far—not only will you make a difference in the environment with even small efforts to “go green,” but you will see the difference in your business. Today’s smart and conscientious customers are looking to make a difference, too!
